The very fact that this is all done traditionally makes a really huge impact on how I view your abilities as an artist. As a fellow traditional junkie, this kind of artwork just makes me smile and feel even more proud in what I do. Granted, I am nowhere near as amazing as you are, but I can't help but believe a little more that one day I can be. I also think you captured Cloud quite beautifully. I love the fact that there seems to be a lot of emphasis on his eyes. As an artist, I personally spend most of my time on eyes because I believe that a lot of who a person is and what they are about is conveyed through the eyes. You capture the whole essence of Cloud perfectly. I really love this!
I really looked up to this character for a very long time, actually. To see him captured in such a way makes me astounded. Really, I didn't expect to find this anywhere.
Your style is impeccable. I will go ahead and say that. Also being a sort of Traditional junkie, though not as skilled, I can see your technique with coloring captures who Cloud is. Cloud is a complicated individual with some...slight problems concerning his personality. All his inner turmoil, along with his willingness to fight for others after a change of heart throughout the game, is captured well within his eyes. I've always loved his eyes and how they just pierce through someone...like here. I've done something similar to this, but not nearly as well executed.
Thank you, this was wonderful to stumble upon before I go to sleep. Keep up the good work. <3
It's funny that when you aren't trying on something it only takes a few minutes, but when you really want to draw something it takes soooo long to finish and you mess up on the most worst parts like the eyes or something and then you just.....
Yayas, cannot wait to see it! *is watching my 'deviantwatch' thing like a hawk*
Oh my gosh thanks for reminding me! I completely forgot I was supposed to shade those darn zippers hahaha I promise I will tonight! *makes a reminder in phone*
Isn't it funny how that works out? I will be doodling not really being serious, and then I see something pretty amazing, but when I have a solid idea in my head and start on it, it's like blahhhhhhhh looks like pancake mix thrown at a wall
